Our Most Recent Project
We are currently doing a kitchen cabinetry renovation project. We are converting it from clear oak to classic white while keeping the interior of the drawers and cabinets natural wood. We are maintaining the natural wood inside because taking the dishes and silverware in and out will ruin the paint job after a certain amount of time!
We just started the project but have sprayed the drawers and cabinet doors. We executed the spraying in a temporary spray booth in our company’s garage. If you’re interested in the entire spraying process, here are the different stages of the job.
- Cleaning
- Sanding
- Spray booth vacuuming
- Applying oil-based primer (two coats if necessary)
- Secondary Sanding
- Spray booth vacuuming
- Caulking seams and spackling dings
- Applying aerosol primer on the patchwork
- Light sanding of the patchwork
- Wiping all treated surfaces
- Spray booth vacuuming
- Spay finish coating (two coats)
- Setting up booth temperature at 65 degrees
- Turning on a fan on a lower setting to move the air
- Leaving the drawers and cabinet doors to settle for 3 days
Here are some pictures of progress thus far. We will include the final pictures as soon as we’re done.
